I dream of publishing a sound recording of Margery’s Book delivered – like the original – in Middle English. This needs a female voice, microphone presence and Middle English fluency - in all of which I'm sadly lacking!

I previously published a CD recording of the late Sister Wendy Beckett reading selections from Julian of Norwich. This was done in a studio whereas my Margery Kempe could work at home, recording and submitting chapters when convenient. The second and shorter of the Book’s main divisions could be a comfortable target to start with.

 

I envisage publishing each new portion on this website, but as copyright holder the reader could publish elsewhere and in other ways if she wished. However, once the Book was fully assembled I might be willing to pay her for letting me host it or bring it out on CD. All is negotiable!
